Police seize two cannabis farms worth up to £478,000 in Stockton
Officers say two men, aged 65 and 67, have been arrested
Officers have seized cannabis farms at two properties in Stockton, believed to be worth a combined total of up to £478,000.
Stockton Neighbourhood Team officers acted on information from the local community and carried out two warrants today, on Zetland Road and Durham Road.
This led to the recovery of cannabis plants believed to be worth up to around £64,000 at a property on Zetland Road and plants worth up to around £414,000 on Durham Road.
Two males aged 65 and 67 have been arrested in connection with drugs offences and remain in police custody at this time.
Acting Sergeant David Leen from Stockton Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:
“Today we have recovered a substantial amount of cannabis after acting on information which came from us from the local community. This is yet another example of us acting on intelligence and seizing drugs which could have ended up on the streets of Stockton.
