Police name Thornaby woman who died North Yorkshire crash
Lucy was in a blue Mercedes C220 with three other people when it flipped and hit a tree and metal gate post near Kirby Misperton Road.
A 19-year-old woman who died in a car crash near the Flamingoland village of Kirby Misperton has been named as Lucy Pinder from Thornaby.
Emergency services were called to Kirby Misperton Road at 3:22pm last Thursday (June 16) after a blue Mercedes C220 saloon car overturned and collided with a tree and a metal gate post.
Lucy, who was in the rear passenger seat, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver - a 27-year-old man from Thornaby - was arrested in connection with the incident but has been released on bail.
The other passengers - a 22-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, also from Thornaby - have also been bailed.
