Police continue search for missing Stockton man David Welsh
The 61-year-old hasn't been seen since Tuesday 8th December walking past the Castlegate Shopping Centre car park on Tower Street.
Cleveland Police say they're continuing to search for missing Stockton dad David Welsh, two weeks after his disappearance.
The 61-year-old was last seen walking past the Castlegate Shopping Centre car park on Tower Street, Stockton at 8pm on Tuesday 8th December.
Officers have been looking at CCTV footage, inquiring at local businesses and hotels and handed out posters with David's photograph on it.
In the past two weeks, searches of the River Tees have been stepped up, with specialist sonar equipment and police dogs deployed to the scene.
Police say they're still trying to trace two people who were seen on CCTV at the rear of Grosvenor Casino on Moat Street, near a figure who could potentially be David.
Detective Inspector Glen Westmoreland said: “We have carried out a large number of inquiries following the disappearance of David Welsh, including searches on land and in the River Tees.
"Further searches of the River Tees have been carried out in the last two weeks, including using specialist sonar equipment and police dogs along with police divers.”
David is described as a white male, around 5ft 8” tall, of slim build and with short, grey hair. He was wearing light coloured jeans and a black waterproof jacket when he went missing.
Anyone who believes that they may have any further information regarding David’s disappearance is requested to contact Cleveland Police on 101.
