Police are appealing for anyone with dash cam footage of a collision on the A19 to contact them.

Officers were called at around 1pm to a four-vehicle collision on the A19 northbound at the Mandale interchange yesterday (Tuesday 9th July).

The collision involved four vehicles; a grey Mercedes, a red Kia, a Ford Transit Tipper and an Audi A4.

Officers believe a fifth vehicle may have made off from the scene.

A woman and an 11-year-old girl travelling in the Mercedes were taken to hospital as a precaution.

A 38-year-old man, driving the Ford Transit Tipper, was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs.

Anyone who may have dash cam footage of the incident is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number SE24129429.
