Police appeal for witnesses following an armed robbery in Redcar
A man was hit with a metal pole and had his motorbike stolen last Friday
Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was robbed in Redcar.
The man, who is in his fifties, was on a motorbike when he was approached by two suspects wearing balaclavas on a small, black scooter on Staintondale Avenue at around 12:15am last Friday (25th October).
Whilst one suspect hit the victim with a metal pole, causing lacerations to his arm, the other suspect stole his motorbike.
Both suspects made off, one on the motorbike and one on the scooter, towards Kirkleatham Lane.
Police say the victim required hospital treatment for the injuries to his arm.
The first suspect is described as a white male, around 5ft 9” tall and of slim build wearing a black puffa coat, a balaclava and black tracksuit bottoms and trainers.
The second suspect is described as a white male, around 5ft 9” tall, wearing similar clothing.
The motorbike has not been recovered and it's described as a black Super Soco CPX, with part registration LE21 (as pictured below).
