Police appeal for information after an alleged assault in Hartlepool

A 24-year-old man was arrested in connection with the alleged incident

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after receiving a report that a 27-year-old man was assaulted in Hartlepool on Friday 29th January.

The victim reported he was riding a bike near the West End Social Club at around 8pm and alleges he was approached from behind by around four other men, causing him to fall to the ground and suffer head and facial injuries.

A 24-year-old man was arrested in connection with the alleged incident. He was interviewed and released on bail while enquiries continue.

We are asking anyone with information, dash cam or CCTV footage which could help our investigation to get in touch.
