Police appeal for information after a reported assault in Stockton

Officers are trying to trace the male victim who left the scene yesterday

Police are appealing to trace a man who is believed to have been assaulted in Stockton yesterday, Wednesday 26th April.

A report was made to police that a male, who had been riding a black motorbike, was approached by another male and assaulted before he became unconscious for a few minutes and his motorbike was stolen.

The incident happened on Roseworth field beside Roseworth play area off Rochester Road around 5:10pm.

The suspect is described as having short, shaven styled dark hair, of slim build and aged in his twenties, wearing khaki coloured tracksuit bottoms and a black motorbike helmet. He is believed to have been riding a red and black motorbike, along with another male.

A black car was being driven at speed past the field at the time and another red vehicle was parked nearby, the occupants of which may have seen the incident.

The victim, who is described as having dark hair, around 20 years old and of slim build, stood up and left the scene.

Officers would like to appeal to the victim to come forward, or any witnesses or anyone with further information is asked to call police on 101, quoting reference number 079152.
