The pair, who are both 15, were attacked at a bus stop last Friday (May 13)
Police are appealing for information after an assault on two 15-year-old girls in Stockton town centre last week.
It happened around 11pm on Friday 13th May as they were at a bus stop, described as near Splash and opposite a church.
One of the girls spoke briefly to a woman in a group of around 7 others (all in their 30s) who appeared to have been ejected from a nearby pub.
The woman - described as 5 feet tall, with long blonde hair gelled back, in a white top with puffy sleeves and carrying her heels - is reported to have grabbed the girl by her hair and dragged her.
The other girl went to her friend’s aid but another of the women grabbed and pushed her to the ground, hitting her head against the pavement.
There is only a description of one other woman; she had shoulder length dark hair and was wearing a green blazer style jacket.
One of the girls attended hospital to be checked over for bumps to her head.
Inquiries to trace the women are underway and we would appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dash cam or CCTV which could assist to contact Cleveland Police on the 101 number and quote ref SE22081506.
