The biggest emergency services training operation in more than a decade is taking place across Stockton and Hartlepool.

**WARNING: Some pictures below show graphic injuries, this is a training exercise and nobody involved has been hurt.**

An armed robbery was staged at Tesco in Stockton, followed by a car accident at a nearby hotel, all leading to a simulated armed standoff in the abandoned Jackson's Landing building in Hartlepool.

It's all about getting emergency services to work together and prepare them for a major incident.

Students from Hartlepool College have been involved in setting up the exercise, as well as playing hostages and victims.

They've been supported by amputees in action, people who've lost limbs who are made up to look like accident victims.

We've picked out some of the tweets sent by Cleveland Police who've have been tweeting pictures from the training exercise at <a class="article-body-link" href="https://twitter.com/ClevelandPolice "@ClevelandPolice"">@ClevelandPolice
