Object thrown at car on A19, police launch appeal

An object was thrown at a car on the A19 earlier causing damage, with police saying the driver and passenger narrowly escaped injury.

The incident occurred just after 10am near Billingham Bottoms.

Police say they believe the object thrown could possibly have been from the bridge overhead.

Cleveland Police stated:

"We would like anyone who was travelling in the area at the time and who may have captured the incident on their dashcam to get in touch ASAP.
