North East Ambulance Service plea NOT to call back

People waiting for an Ambulance in the North East are being urged not to call back unless their condition gets worse.

The North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust has posted on social media this morning (25th September), reassuring patients that they haven't been forgotten.

In a tweet, the service adds: 'We know waiting is frustrating...

'Please continue to be #999wise and #DoYourBit so we can be there for patients who need us most.'

Ambulance services across the UK are facing pressure, with requests for military assistance in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
