A person's died after a mudslide on the edge of the North York Moors.

Emergency services were called at 1:15 this afternoon to the incident at Carlton-in-Cleveland.

Police say nobody else was injured, but the area is cordoned off while an investigation takes place.

Meanwhile Cleveland Fire service say they are aware of flooding in Loftus and have been inundated with calls - they are asking people to only travel in an emergency.
