Man who died in Hartlepool incident named as Anthony Littlewood

A man who died in an incident in Hartlepool has been named as Anthony Littlewood.

The 39-year-old suffered serious injuries in Hart Lane on Saturday 8th June. He was rushed to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, but later passed away.

Two 24-year-old men were arrested in connection with the incident and were bailed pending further enquiries.

Cleveland Police are continuing to investigate what happened. They say their thoughts remain with Anthony's family and friends.

Anthony’s family have asked that their privacy is respected during this extremely difficult time.
