Police investigation after man found injured on road in Middlesbrough

He was discovered on the westbound lane of Longlands Road by ambulance crews

Police are investigating, after a man was found injured on Longlands Road, Middlesbrough, on Wednesday night (29th December).

Ambulance crews discovered the man lying in the Westbound lane near the Ormesby Road junction, between 11.15pm and 11.25pm.

The man, in his 40s, was helped at the scene and taken to hospital.

In a statement, Cleveland Police added: 'Officers are appealing for anyone who saw the circumstances, or has footage of this area, around these times to call 101, reference 220686.

'Police particularly want to hear from anyone who may have seen a male in his 40s in this area, wearing a black jacket, black ‘Adidas’ brand tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.'
