The body of a man has been found following an explosion at a house in Darlington.
The body of a man has been found following an explosion at a house in Darlington.
Emergency services were called out to Lewes Road, just off Neasham Road, just before 3am today.
They found a mid-terraced property on fire, with the roof already badly damaged.
A body found upstairs is believed to be that of the occupier.
Police are now trying to trace his next of kin.
It is still not known what caused the explosion.
