Man dead after collision in Hartlepool

A man's died after a car collided with railings near a Hartlepool pub.
It happened as the 24-year-old was travelling westbound on the A689 at around 10:15pm on Friday evening.
The crash occurred near The Traveller's Rest pub.
A 22 year old man - who was driving a separate car - has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Cleveland Police are appealing for witnesses, and are encouraging anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage of the incident to call 101, quoting SE23228265.
