Man breaks jaw after assault by teenagers in Ingleby Barwick

A man has broken his jaw after an alleged assault by a group of teenagers in Ingleby Barwick.

It happened between 12.10am and 12.20am on Tuesday 4th June, after a man aged in his fifties used the cash machine at Tesco on Myton Way.

Police say a group of four males were in the car park, they had a football with them and are believed to be teenagers approximately 16-18 years old.

Police added that an argument took place and then two of the group proceeded to assault the male by punching or kicking him, causing him to fall to the floor.

The man is in hospital for surgery to his broken jaw.
