Man arrested after Catterick Garrison fatal collision
Pensioner sadly passed away
Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Colburn, Catterick Garrison. Officers were called to a report of a collision involving a Lexmoto motorcycle and a pedestrian in Forest Drive, Colburn, at 10.45am on Saturday 13 August. The pedestrian was taken to James Cook Hospital by Air Ambulance. Sadly, she died from her injuries. She has been identified as Helen Doherty, 78, from Colburn. A man in his 30s was arrested at a property nearby in connection with the incident. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries. Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, and has not already spoken to officers, to contact them.
