A Largs man who stabbed another man and left him scarred for life is facing a lengthy jail sentence.
Daniel McDermid, 36, burst into a house in the town and repeatedly knifed victim Hugh Miller, who suffered five wounds.
McDermid admitted assault to severe injury and permanent disfigurement in February 2014.
He was remanded in custody at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court for sentencing later this month.
