Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Darlington
A woman is being treated at James Cook Hospital after the incident
Durham Police say they have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder, after an incident in Darlington.
Officers were called out to Risdale Street around 10am this morning, to reports of a disturbance at a property there.
A woman in her 30's was taken to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough with "serious" injuries.
A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is also receiving hospital treatment.
Durham Constabulary say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident, but an investigation is under way.
