Man sustains serious head injury in Hartlepool assault
Cleveland Police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone who has footage of the incident, to get in touch
A man has sustained a serious head injury after being assaulted in Hartlepool.
The 39-year-old was attacked following an incident on Hart Lane, at the junction with Serpentine Road, at around 6:45pm on Saturday.
He is being treated at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough.
Cleveland Police believe there were a number of vehicles in the area at the time, and are asking drivers to send them dashcam footage.
Anyone else who saw the incident, or has doorbell or CCTV footage of it, is also being asked to get in touch.
