Four men arrested for burglary in Middlesbrough after police pursuit

The group travelled from North Yorkshire into the Cleveland area

Four suspects in a North Yorkshire burglary have been arrested in Middlesbrough following a pursuit in the Cleveland area.

As part of an investigation into a burglary at a business premises in Stokesley, reported in the early hours of 6th June, North Yorkshire Police officers identified a vehicle they believed to be involved in the burglary.

At around 5.20am today (7 June), the vehicle was seen travelling through the Cleveland area. It was then followed by officers from North Yorkshire Police and Cleveland Police who intercepted it in Middlesborough centre at around 5.30am.

The occupants of the vehicle, four men aged 18, 20, 21, 32, were arrested on suspicion of burglary and taken into Cleveland Police’s custody.

The men remain in custody at this time and the investigation into the burglary is ongoing.
