Appeal after female dog walker targeted in Thornaby

Police are appealing for information after a report that a man grabbed at a woman out walking her dog in Thornaby on Saturday 2nd Oct around 5:45pm

The lady was on her own on a field in the Thorntree Road/Pacific Drive area when she was approached by an unknown man who engaged her in conversation before grabbing her, pulling at her clothing and trying to pull her away.

The lady hit him and ran off and the man walked away.

The suspect is described as white, around 40 years old with a shaved head with a small amount of hair at the sides. He is at least 6 feet tall, of a broad build and was wearing all black. He had a small black and white dog with him
