The family of a Teesville teenager who died in a motorbike crash on Sunday say their "hearts are ripped in two".

18-year-old Charlie Darren Stubley died when his off-road style motorbike collided with a Ford Ka on Birchington Avenue in Grangetown at 7:30pm.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His mum Tracey Stubley said today: “My little Charlie chuckle.

“I was only 17 when I found out I was having Charlie, such a shock but he was one of the best shocks that has ever happened to me. There was no better feeling than when he was born in 1997.

“My first born baby boy, he was always my blue eye, a mammy’s boy.

“He wouldn’t have anyone else but his mammy, always attached to my hip for his short 18 years.

“He was no angel at school until we moved schools and in the past few years he did everything to make us proud. We were so proud when you joined the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) in March 2015.

“Charlie loved motorbikes and got his first PW50 at 3 years old for Christmas. His face lit up the room that morning. He always wore all the motorbike gear.

“I’ve got years of memories but I don’t want memories I want you. Our hearts are ripped in two. You were a lovely lad, always proud and inspirational. My blue eyed, my very own soldier boy Craftsman Stubley REME.

“Love you always and forever, your Mam, Dad, Aleisha and Archie XXX”
