Family 'devastated' after pet dogs killed in possible arson attack

Two dogs and 20 pigeons have died in an alleged arson attack at South Bank allotment.

It happened during the early hours of Saturday (July 23rd).

Three vehicles were set on fire with the fire spreading to a nearby dog run which contained 20 pigeons and two family pet dogs.

One of the dogs was a five-year-old Husky named Skye and the other was a small Terrier named Pippa and they both died in the fire along with the pigeons.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of arson and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
