Police are appealing after a dog was killed in Dormanstown.

The incident happened between 2pm and 2:15pm on Sunday 29th November on South Avenue as a woman walked her Jack Russell, named Patch.

Another dog, which was reportedly not on a lead at the time, attacked Patch. The dog is described as similar to a Labrador or Retriever, and it was with a female who had blonde hair and another woman with dark hair who had an Alsatian type dog with her.

Patch suffered injuries and sadly later died.

Anyone with information regarding the incident, or the owner of the Labrador/Retriever type dog, is asked to contact PC Wayne Pursley on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident number 195252.
