Nick Talbot was almost killed by an avalanche on Mount Everest, but isn’t ruling out going back.

The 39-year-old was attempting to be the first person with cystic fibrosis to climb the mountain, but didn’t get the opportunity because of the devastating earthquake.

That triggered an avalanche that left Nick with broken ribs and hypothermia.

After days of being stuck in Kathmandu he’s now back in the UK recovering.

Nick said: “My health is slowly improving every day, it becomes easier to breathe as my ribs slowly mend.

“I’m still very bruised and battered, but my health will be fine in a few weeks or a couple of month.”

He also told us: “There’s a strong chance that I will go back, you have to analyse these things and try and take away your emotive response to it.”
