Hartlepool man to be sentenced after investigation by Counter Terror police
Mohammed Salah Uddin pleaded guilty to 5 charges at the Old Bailey in London
A 37-year-old man from Hartlepool will be sentenced next month after being charged with five breaches of his Part 4 Notification Requirements following an investigation by Counter Terrorism Policing North East.
Mohammed Salah UDDIN (10/01/1986) pleaded guilty to the following offences under the Counter Terrorism Act 2008:
- Breach of Notification Requirements, contrary to Sections 48(4A) and 54(1)(a) Counter Terrorism Act 2008.
Between the 30th August 2022 and 23rd February 2023, being a relevant offender within the terms of Section 44 of the Counter-Terrorism Act 2008, having acquired an email address, failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of Section 48(4A) of that Act to notify the police of the email account.
- Breach of Notification Requirements, contrary to Sections 48(4A) and 54(1)(a) Counter Terrorism Act 2008
Between the 20th December 2019 and 23rd February 2023, being a relevant offender within the terms of Section 44 of the Counter-Terrorism Act 2008, having acquired an email address on 13th April 2019, failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of Section 47 of that Act to notify the police of the email account.
- Breach of Notification Requirements, contrary to Sections 47 and 12(2)(b) Counter Terrorism Act 2008
Between the 20th September 2019 and 23rd February 2023, being a relevant offender within the terms of Section 44 of the Counter-Terrorism Act 2008, having acquired an email address on 8th March 2013, failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of Section 4 of that Act to notify the police of the email account.
- Breach of Notification Requirements, contrary to Sections 48(4)(a) and 54(1)(a) Counter Terrorism Act 2008
Between the 1st April 2022 and 23rd February 2023, being a relevant offender within the terms of Section 44 of the Counter-Terrorism Act 2008, having acquired a Huawei mobile phone number failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of Section 48(4)(a) of that Act to notify the police of the phone number.
- Breach of Notification Requirements, contrary to Sections 48(4)(a) and 54(1)(a) Counter Terrorism Act 2008
Between the 26th May 2022 and 23rd February 2023, being a relevant offender within the terms of Section 44 of the Counter-Terrorism Act 2008, having acquired an iphone mobile phone number failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of Section 48(4)(a) of that Act to notify the police of the phone number.
Uddin is remanded in custody to appear at the Central Criminal Court on Friday, September 29, 2023 for sentencing.
