Brothers jailed for threatening to blind young mother over £10 drug debt row
Two Shildon brothers who smashed their way into the home of a young mother and her 6-week-old baby before threatening her with a knife and a bottle of ammonia have been jailed.
Durham Crown Court heard that the incident stemmed from a row over a £10 drug debt.
18-year-old Daniel Calvert - also known as Oliver - and his 21-year-old brother Sean were given sentences of 7 and 8 years, respectively, after admitting aggravated burglary.
