Police say they were called out around 3:20pm this afternoon, to the River Tees near the Tees Barrage.

The body of a man has been recovered, no formal identification has taken place yet, but police say the family of missing 18-year-old Lewis Penfold-Roche from Billingham have been informed and continue to be supported by specially trained officers.

They say their thoughts are with his family.
