What's being described as the 'best ever' Star Wars toy collection is going up for auction in Stockton today.

The private assortment from Europe could fetch £500,000 when it goes under the hammer at Vectis Toy Auctions in Thornaby this morning.

Auctioneers say the star piece is a prototype rocket-firing Boba Fett, which it's thought could fetch up to £20,000.

Many of the pieces have been on display in a European museum before reaching the Vectis head office in the North East of England.

The sale consists of a large amount of rare items, which makes it so incredibly special.

Some are rare because of the condition they are in; others are rare because there are just so few known to exist.
