Three teenagers have been arrested after a Teesside man was run over, when they tried to steal his car.

In the early hours of this morning, three suspects allegedly broke into an address in Marton and attempted to steal a Mini Cooper.

But as they attempted to make off with the car, a 69 year old man chased after the suspects; it's believed he fell and was hit by the car.

The suspects then got out of the vehicle and ran off.
