Arrest made in connection with Stockton incident

A 33-year-old man has been arrested following an incident whereby a car was damaged by a firearm in Stockton.

The incident happened shortly after 1pm on Wednesday 9th May outside the Post Office on Londonderry Road.

Shots were fired by two people on a motorbike into a parked silver Ford Focus whilst it was occupied by three people. Fortunately, no one was injured.

The man was arrested in the early hours of this morning on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. He remains in police custody at this time.
