Appeal for information after firework thrown into Redcar home

Detectives are appealing for information after a firework was thrown into the window of a family home.

The incident happened at around 9.50pm on Monday 31st October, at a property on Kirkleatham Lane in Redcar. A man, woman and teenage boy had to flee the address after a front room window was smashed and a large firework was ignited and thrown inside, starting a fire. Cleveland Fire Brigade were called to the address and fortunately no one was injured as a result. A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson and he has been bailed pending further enquiries.
