Appeal for witnesses and footage following alleged kidnap in Stockton

Police are appealing for information, dash cam and CCTV footage following the alleged kidnap of a man in his 20s in the areas of Compton Street and Talbot Street in Stockton.

It is believed the alleged incident occurred at 1:45am on Wednesday 17th March.

At 2am on the same morning, two men (aged 26 and 24 years old) were arrested on Westbourne Street in Stockton. They were later charged with kidnap, having a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence and possessing an offensive weapon.

Prior to the arrest, four men had allegedly been sighted in the areas of Oxbridge Lane and Hind Street in a silver Clio and then reportedly on foot on Spring Road and Yarm Road.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dash cam or CCTV footage in the areas mentioned in the date/ times above to contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting 041292.
