The two teenage girls who were found guilty of murdering Hartlepool woman Angela Wrightson will be sentenced today.

The girls, aged 14 and 15, were found guilty on Tuesday and will return to Leeds Crown Court today for sentencing.

Their 39-year-old victim was found dead at her home in Stephen Street in December 2014.

She had over 100 separate injuries and was naked from the waist down.

Items like a television set and a shovel were used as weapons.

The girls, who can't be named for legal reasons, had been drinking and taking prescription drugs on the day of the attack.

Miss Wrightson's family said the alcoholic had a 'chaotic life' but an infectious personality.
