After travelling the world and acting alongside Vinnie Jones, a Stockton actor has returned to Teesside to open his own acting school.

Daniel John Williams has worked around the globe as an actor, director and casting director, but now hopes to inspire kids in his hometown.

The Daniel Williams School of acting will offer weekly classes to children of all ages when it opens for business in August.

The school will be based in the dance studio at Stockton Sixth Form College.

Daniel, who grew up in Fairfield, Stockton, has starred in BBC’s Casualty and Doctors, BBC3 comedy Way to Go and most recently starred alongside Vinnie Jones in the comedy gangster film Redirected.

He said:

"I found myself back in Teesside because it's where I'm from, it's my hometown.

I love the people, I love the humour, I love the heart of Teesside and Stockton.

And I just feel like I want to offer the opportunity to youngsters growing up, opportunities that I certainly didn't have."
