A 15 year old boy's recovering after being bitten by a dog in Stockton.
The 15-year-old boy was riding his bike along the cycle path from the back of Whitton Road towards Grangefield School.
When he stopped to let a woman pass by who was walking her two dogs, one of the dogs was off the lead and it jumped up at the boy biting his leg twice.
The bite caused an injury that required him to attend hospital for treatment.
Both dogs are described as being at knee point, grey and smooth haired.
It took place at approximately 8am on Wednesday 20 November.
Officers are appealing directly to the woman walking the dogs to come forward and for anyone who may have witnessed the attack to get in touch.
PC Laura Morrison, from Stockton Police station, said: “As part of our investigation we are keen to identify the woman who was walking the dog that bit the boy and are appealing for her get in touch.
“I also want to encourage anyone who may know who the woman is or has information that could assist with our enquiries to contact us.”
