Appeal following firearms incident in Middlesbrough

Police want to hear from any witnesses

Police are appealing for information following a reported firearms incident in Middlesbrough on Friday (10/09).

A spokesperson for the force told us: "Officers were called at 5.22pm to Downside Road, to a report of males attending an address and discharging a firearm causing damage. No one was injured. The men were then thought to have made off in vehicles."

Detectives believe this incident may be related to an incident in Acklam Road at 5.48pm, when they received reports of a crash between a motorbike and a vehicle.

Police have arrested a man in connection with their investigation and enquiries continue.
