It was very emotional

In what was an emotional tribute last night, Coldplay's Chris Martin 'dueted' with George Michael.
Chris Martin appeared on stage singing George Michael's 1986 single, 'A Different Corner' 'accompanied' by the late singer. As Chris performed a video of George singing the song played out on the big screens at the O2.

Before Chris' performance George's former Wham! bandmates paid an emotional tribute to the late star.
Holding back the tears, Andrew Ridgeley said, "It felt like the sky had fallen in", when news of Michael's death broke on Christmas Day last year.
"A supernova in a firmament of shining stars has been extinguished,"
Backing singers Pepsi and Shirlie also joined Andrew on stage to pay tribute to their late friend, almost breaking down in tears.
We also caught up with some of the stars attending The BRITs last night and asked them to record a tribute of their own to George Michael.
Emeli Sande, Ed Sheeran, Charli XCX, Biffy, The 1975 and Wiley all sang (or said) the words from 'Careless Whisper'.
It starts with Charli XCX reading the first couple of lines,
"I feel so unsure,
As I take your hand and lead you to the dance floor"
Ending it with a kiss to camera.
Emeli Sande then continues reading the rest of the verse, with Ed Sheeran singing the chorus from backstage at The BRITs.
