The X Factor 2016 voting figures revealed
You might be surprised.
It's been a roller coaster ride for the contestants in this year's X Factor and now that the results have been revealed we can see exactly how narrow the winning margin was.
The X Factor final saw 6.4 million people cast their vote for either waiter Matt Terry or Finnish singer Saara Aalto. In the end Matt was crowned the winner of The X Factor, but it was incredibly close with Saara actually ahead by 2% when the lines closed on Saturday night.
However after Sunday's performances Matt ended up with 48.5% of the vote compared to Saara's 40.4%.
In fact Matt consistently came out in the top three in each week's votes, whilst Saara's placement varied from third from the bottom in the first week to top in weeks eight and nine.
