His Strictly Come Dancing journey came to an end over the weekend when he lost out in the dance-off to cricketer Graeme Swann and his partner Oti Mabuse, but that wasn't the thing that angered Danny John-Jules the most.

No, that award went to former Strictly pro and Dancing On Ice star James Jordan, after he sent an inappropriate tweet about Danny's mum whilst watching the show with the rest of us.

Danny's 82-year-old mum was in the audience watching him perform the Salsa on Saturday night, and when the camera panned to her, James took to Twitter in a now-deleted tweet to write, 'Danny's mum looks as miserable as him'. sic

After seeing the tweet, Danny's wife Petula Langlais wrote, 'Out of order! Attacking an elderly woman who has done nothing to you! You know nothing about our personal lives! That is below the belt!!! Love and light to you.'

But known for his outspoken personality, James hit back adding, 'I just stated facts… said what everyone was thinking. Not attacking anyone. She did look miserable when the camera was on her, but I'm sure she is a lovely lady. No malice intended. But everyone gets offended over everything nowadays.' sic

Then, before the Strictly Come Dancing results show last night, Danny took to his own Twitter account to write, 'So you take the p--- out of an 82 YO woman with Alzheimers #BigMan'. sic

Fans were quick to come out in support for Danny and his mum, before James replied once again.

Sharing a print screen of a message from Danny's wife, James wrote, 'Your lovely wife also wrote this to me after she asked me to follow her. I did so because there was no malice. Remember Danny I have a lot of friends on Strictly so please stop using this to overshadow the person you are.' sic

BUT, things went further again, with Danny's wife Petula hitting back AGAIN. She replied, '1. I asked you to DM me 2. I simply asked you to be more mindful and did it civilly 3. This message was meant to be private.' sic

So much drama!

Strictly Come Dancing continues every Saturday and Sunday.
