Simon Cowell: 'James Arthur Must Calm Down With His Nonsense Behaviour'
The Syco boss speaks to Entertainment! NOW
Simon Cowell has denied claims that James Arthur has been dropped from his label Syco but he admits the controversial singer must “calm down.”
Several tabloids earlier this week reported that James had been dumped by Syco over his string of controversies including his Twitter feud with Lucy Spraggan, Matt Lucas and Frankie Boyle and a newly surfaced track that allegedly references terrorism.
Speaking to Entertainment NOW! at the Britain’s Got Talent launch in London last night, Simon said that James is still on Syco but he needs to change his ways.
“No I haven’t phoned (James) but I’m going to have to sit down with him,” Simon told us. “Apart from anything else, this silly ‘you said this, I said this and blah blah blah’, I mean it’s all nonsense, it really is. He’s just got to calm down a bit.”
Quizzed about what he’ll say to James, Simon added: “I think what I would say to him is put things into perspective.
“You won a show, you probably wouldn’t have got a record deal without the show, you sold a ton of records, you’re famous – just go in the studio and make a great record. Relax!”
Simon also spoke to us about why picking new X Factor judges IS harder than choosing godparents for his newborn baby Eric and why he doesn’t always agree with Gary Barlow.
