Pharrell: 'Great Music Comes From The UK Because It Rains!'
Dreary weather = awesome music!
Pharrell Williams believes that the dreary British weather is the driving force behind our incredible music scene.
Speaking to Entertainment NOW! at the O2 Silver Clef Awards where he won the coveted Raymond Weil International Award, Pharrell said great music is often linked to geographical location.
He enthused: “When you think about it, geographically places where it rains a lot, the music and the art tends to be so good. Bowie, Elton John, all of the incredible greats.
“To me it’s rain music almost because it’s what I want to hear in the rain. Warm rain, more summer rain.”
Pharrell spent the day hanging with Led Zeppein legend Jimmy Page and received his International Award from U2 frontman Jimmy Page.
