Peaches Geldof Revealed She Was 'Happier Than Ever' In Final Column
She wrote she had 'the perfect life'
Peaches Geldof said she was “happier than ever” in a magazine column just weeks before her untimely death.
Writing in her last column for Mother & Baby, Peaches said that her two baby boys Astala, 23 months, and Phaedra, 11 months, had changed her entire outlook on life.
Referring to her earlier party lifestyle, Peaches wrote: "I lived a life of wanton wanderlust. With fun-loving friends from LA to London, I was lost in a haze of youth and no responsibilities.
“Other than work there was nothing stopping me from having constant fun. But it was becoming boring, I wanted an anchor. I craved it.
“And when I had two wailing, smiling, joyful little blobs of waddling pink flesh they became my entire existence and saved me from one of pure apathy.
“I had the perfect life, two babies who loved me more than anything. It was and is bliss.
“I’m happier than ever. I’ve achieved a sort of perfect balance. Right now life is good. And being a mum is the best part of it.”
Speaking exclusively to Entertainment NOW!, Mother & Baby editor-in-chief Claire Irvin praised Peaches’ dedication as a mum and journalist.
“She wasn’t just throwing herself into it on a practical and instinctive level, she was spending every spare minute she had doing her homework.
“She could talk to you about every single parenting method, every single parenting guru and she could debate them at length.”
Claire added: “There’s always been a vulnerable quality to Peaches and that came through in her absolute need to the best possible mum to her children.
“Further heartbreak for her family and friends is the content of her last column.”
Peaches was aged just 25 was she was discovered at her home in Wrotham, Kent on Monday afternoon. A post-mortem is due to be carried out later today.
