Miley Cyrus Denies She Had A Drug Overdose - WATCH

The singer speaks ahead of last night’s O2 Arena show

Miley Cyrus has rubbished online speculation that she recently had a drug overdose.

The 21-year-old singer spent 10 days in hospital last month after suffering an allergic reaction to medication she took for a sinus affection. She was forced to cancel her remaining US tour dates and postpone the opening shows of her European Bangerz tour.

The illness prompted rumourmongers to spread stories that she’d had a drug overdose – speculation she was keen to nip in the bud at a press conference ahead of her London O2 Arena show last night.

She told reporters: “I didn’t have a drug overdose. I took some s****y antibiotics that the doctor gave me for a sinus infection and I had a reaction.

“My immune system was already low because I had a death in my family so my body couldn’t take anything else.”

Having a sarcastic swipe at the gossip, Miley added: “You know what makes it a lot better is when people are online saying that you’re overdosing on drugs. That makes it feel a lot better.”

Miley also praised her UK fans and told reporters that she’s glad to be alive and more. Watch footage of her interview below.
