Matt Damon To Reprise Role in New Bourne Movie?
He's reportedly in talks along with director Paul Greengrass
Matt Damon is reportedly in talks to reprise his role as former CIA agent Jason Bourne in the Bourne movie series.
According to Deadline, Universal Pictures are “making deals” with Matt Damon and The Bourne Supremacy / The Bourne Ultimatum director Paul Greengrass for the as-yet-untitled film.
Damon and Greengrass were both not involved in the fourth instalment of the franchise, 2012’s The Bourne Legacy, which, unlike the book, focused on agent Aaron Cross played by Jeremy Renner.
2007’s The Bourne Ultimatum ended with Jason Bourne regaining his memory and followed his attempt to solve the mystery of his past.

Speaking in 2012, Damon said he’d be up for reprising his defining role if the script was right.
Damon told Crave: “Look, I’ve been interested in doing another one for five years. We just can’t figure out the script. I’m up for it, but again it’s all about the script, it’s got to be a good one.
“I really want to do another one and I think Paul Greengrass does too. But I think it's the same question we've had after each one. If we really feel we can do it and that it will deserve to live with the other three that we did.
“If we can make one where we go into it feeling it can be even better than those, and it ends up being in that same ballpark, then we should do it. But if we can't, then we really should leave it alone.”
The first three movies in the critically acclaimed Bourne franchise grossed almost $1billion at the global box office.
