Maroon 5's Adam Levine to perform at The Oscars

He'll sing the Oscar nominated song 'Lost Again'

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine has been added to the live line-up at The Oscars in Los Angeles next month.

The 35-year-old singer will perform his song ‘Lost Again’ from the musical romcom Begin Again, in which he also stars, at The Dolby Theatre ceremony.

Show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron enthused: "Adam Levine is an exceptional and dynamic artist. We're thrilled to have him make his Oscars stage debut this year.”

Penned by Gregg Alexander and Danielle Brisebois, ‘Lost Again’ is nominated for the Original Song Oscar where it will go head-to-head with ‘Grateful’ from movie Beyond The Lights and sung by Rita Ora.

Also vying for the gong are 'Everything Is Awesome' from The Lego Movie, 'Glory' from Selma and 'I'm Not Gonna Miss You' from Glen Campbell...I’ll Be Me.

Also starring Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo and directed by John Carney, Begin Again saw Levine make his feature film-acting debut.

Despite this being his first ever movie awards, Adam is well seasoned veteran of music awards ceremonies having won three Grammys, an MTV Video Music Award, three Billboard Awards and three American Music Awards.

Hosted by actor Neil Patrick Harris, the 87th Academy Awards take place on Sunday 22nd February.
