Kenan & Kel could be heading for a comeback!
Pass us the orange soda!
Much-loved nineties TV show Kenan & Kel could be making a very welcome comeback!
The Nickelodeon show, which ran from 1996 to 2000, followed the shambolic exploits of high school student Kenan Rockmore (played by Kenan Thompson) and his blundering orange-soda-slurping best mate Kel Kimble (Kel Mitchell).
15 years on from the end of the show, Digital Spy asked 36-year-old Kel whether he’d be game for reviving the comedy. Fortunately he was 100% up for it!
“Yeah, I think that would be awesome. I mean, I’m into it,” Kel enthused.
“That’d be cool, man. You just gotta get Kenan into it, see if he’d be into it. That’d be a lot of fun.”
37-year-old Kenan, who still acts, does voiceover work and has appeared on Saturday Night Live for 15 years, sadly might not be as into the comeback as his former sidekick is.
Kel told TMZ in 2012: “The truth is Kenan does not want to be seen with me in any form of media, or even have my name mentioned around him.”
We reckon it’s definitely time to bury the hatchet!
Kenan & Kel ran for four series and 65 episodes in total. It ended with a straight to TV film finale called ‘Two Heads Are Better Than None’ in March 2000.
Ohhh here it goes...
