Gemma Collins Quits I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Gemma Collins has sensationally quit I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
The TOWIE star walked out of the Australian jungle on Wednesday morning after struggling to cope with the demands of show.
A spokesperson for the ITV show said: “We're sorry to see Gemma go but respect her decision and wish her well.”
Gemma was hoping to match the success of her fellow The Only Way Is Essex stars Joey Essex and Mark Wright on I’m A Celeb but struggled from the offset.
On the way to camp, Gemma broke down in tears in the helicopter and was eventually taken to the jungle in alternative transport.
She was also unfortunate enough to be exiled in the Celebrity Slammer alongside Craig Charles, Vicki Michelle, Nadia Forde and Carl Fogarty.
Gemma struggled to cope with the meagre rations of porridge, rice and beans and regularly complained to her fellow contestants about her bowel movements and self diagnosed herself with malaria.
After the show started airing on Sunday, the 33-year-old was shamefully targeted with insults on social media about her size.
Former Made In Chelsea star Ashley James jumped to her defence, writing: “I missed #ImACelebrity tonight but appalled at the weight comments I've seen on twitter about Gemma Collins.”
Despite her brief time in the jungle, she isn’t the fastest quitter in the show’s history.
The late Malcolm McLaren quit before even entering the jungle in 2007, while Freddie Starr exited after three days in 2011 due to ill health.
